The Cleveland Cavaliers may have an interest in bringing former Georgetown University forward/center Henry Sims to training camp, according to a tweet from the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
Sims, a 7-footer, most recently played for the Charlotte Bobcats’ summer-league team in Las Vegas.
Sims spent part of last season playing in the Philippines and part in the NBA D-League with the Erie BayHawks. He also signed a 10-day contract with the New Orleans Hornets (now Pelicans).
Prior to the 2012-13 season, Sims attended training camp with the New York Knicks, but was waived at the end of the preseason.
The Cavs currently have 11 players under contract and are expected to sign first-round draft picks Anthony Bennett and Sergey Karasev soon.
Sims averaged 4.7 points and 4.0 rebounds per game for the Bobcats’ summer team.
