Kevin Jones returned to doing what he has done best in his first season as a pro — compiling double-doubles in the D-League.
Jones, assigned to Canton by the Cavaliers earlier in the day, scored 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the Charge’s 78-69 win over visiting Fort Wayne on Monday. Jones has tallied a double-double in five of six games with the Charge. The 6-foot-8 forward went undrafted out of West Virginia and has appeared in 15 games with the Cavs.
JaJuan Johnson added 16 points and nine rebounds for the Charge (15-10), who have won nine of 11.
Former Cavs forward Luke Harangody tallied 11 points and 10 boards for the Mad Ants (10-13).
Canton travels to Iowa on Friday, before returning home to face the Energy the next night. Saturday’s game has been dubbed “Cavs Night,” and will feature appearances by former Cavs, such as Larry Nance and Bingo Smith.
