Cavaliers coach Byron Scott has been fined $25,o00 by the NBA for comments about the officiating following Saturday’s loss at Minnesota.
The Cavs attempted nine free throws in the 91-73 defeat, compared to 35 attempts for the Timberwolves.
“I’m trying to figure out a way to say this without getting fined: It was that bad, it really was,” Scott told reporters after the game. “I understand we’re playing in Minnesota, but 35-9? We went to the basket just as much as they did.”
The Cavs (4-17) return to action Tuesday vs. the Los Angeles Lakers. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Quicken Loans Arena.
