The Canton Charge split a pair of weekend road games, falling to the Maine Red Claws on Sunday and defeating the Springfield Armor on Saturday in D-League action.
In the 103-90 loss to Maine, Jon Leuer paced the Charge (2-5) with 15 points and 13 rebounds in just his second game on assignment from the Cavaliers. The Red Claws were led by Kris Joseph’s 21 points, and Shelvin Mack’s 18 points and 10 assists.
In the 118-88 win over Springfield, Kyle Gibson tallied 25 points to lead the Charge. Former Cavs guard Ben Uzoh scored a game-high 30 points for the Armor.
The Charge return to Canton for three home games in four nights, beginning with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on Wednesday. Admission for students who present a college identification will be admitted for $5.
