I’ve updated my Facebook fan  page, and as the NBA season approaches, I’ll be sure do it more. (I know, try to contain your excitement.)

Anyway, the latest update consists of my very early power rankings for the Eastern Conference, with comments and a player to watch for each of the 15 teams. Feel free to add comments of your own. I respond to the good ones.

Here are my Big Three in the East:

1. Miami Heat: Defending champs added Ray Allen. Hard to call them anything but clear favorites in East. Watch: Norris Cole.

2. Boston Celtics: Jason Terry, Courtney Lee and return of Avery Bradley give C’s major upgrade in backcourt. Watch: Jeff Green.

3. Indiana Pacers: No team is more physical, plays with more attitude, or has as many potential leading scorers each night. Watch: Paul George.
