The Cavaliers will return to the NBA summer league in Las Vegas in mid-July with a roster full of rookies, as well as first-year and veteran free agents, one year after the lockout suspended play. While the Cavs don’t even know who they’re drafting yet, and therefore have not compiled a roster, they do know the schedule. Here it is (all times EST):
Sunday, July 15 – 8:30 p.m. – Cleveland vs. Charlotte at Thomas & Mack
Monday, July 16 – 8 p.m. – Cleveland vs. NBA D-League at COX Pavilion
Tuesday, July 17 – 8:30 p.m. – Cleveland vs. Phoenix at Thomas & Mack
Thursday, July 19 – 8 p.m. – Cleveland vs. Minnesota at COX Pavilion
Friday, July 20 – 4 p.m. – New York vs. Cleveland at COX Pavilion
Overall, the summer league consists of 60 games in 10 days, and features teams that currently own 13 of the top 14 draft picks. There will also be a team of D-League stars, coached by Brecksville High School product Eric Musselman.
Every summer league game will be broadcast by NBA TV.
