Jeff Van Gundy altered his stance in the final game of Miami’s series win over Boston Saturday night.
After saying he didn’t understand at all why anyone would be mad at LeBron James — an opinion that led to this ramble — he merely said at the end of Game 7 that “Two years ought to be the statute of limitations on stupidity.”
Which is a much better way to phrase things. Because it admits that much of the nonsense that went on two years ago was nonsense, but it might be time for folks to let go.
That’s not easy when you’re in Cleveland, especially when people keep throwing it back in your face. But it’s not an unreasonable proposition.
