Harangody back with Charge

By Sam Amico

Less than 24 hours after having the best game of his NBA career, Luke Harangody has been reassigned to the Canton Charge by the Cavaliers.

But that was part of the deal, as Harangody played for the Cavs’ D-League affiliate in Game 1 of its playoff matchup with Springfield on Friday in Canton (the Charge won). The 6-foot-8 forward then flew to Washington, where he scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the Cavs’ 98-89 win over the Wizards on Saturday. Harangody was filling in for regular Cavs starter Antawn Jamison, who was held out of the game to rest.

Harangody will now rejoin the Charge for Game 2 of their playoff series tonight in Springfield. A deciding Game 3, if necessary, is also in Springfield.

Harangody is averaging 19.4 points and 12.6 rebounds in 16 games (all starts) with the Charge. Meanwhile, he is averaging 2.5 points and 2.4 boards in his 16 games with the Cavs.
